|The line going into Moldova from Ukraine.|
The picture here was taken by my wife, as we sat in the van waiting to cross from the Ukraine into Moldova. Coming from California, it was definitely a shock to see a horse-drawn cart going through customs, but it’s not uncommon at all.
The dangerous thing about this form of transportation is many of the carts do not have reflectors on the back. I’ve heard of people running their cars into the back of them because of how difficult it is to see them in the dark. If you’re ever driving in Eastern Europe at night – beware the Horses!
